We are creating a new rule book when it comes to manufacturing by exploring the limits of the possible and changing the way we think about manufacturing.
If we continue to manufacture with only the product in mind then we will face increased delays with supply, rising costs and fail to embrace the benefits that technology, like additive manufacturing, can bring. Think different, innovate, drive change. See how we are doing this below.
How we can help
At AMS, we provide a range of services and products to help businesses harness the power of AM and increase their technological performance. Whether you are new to AM or already have some experience, we can help you with:
Talk to us todayDeveloping in house capabilities for novel material development as well as the atomisation of our recycled materials.
We have a materials analysis laboratory including microscopy, powder characterisation and chemical analysis.
We have powder based metal AM capability in house via laser and electron beam powder bed fusion. From parameter development to production, we can support in house.
To push AM to the limits we need to develop bespoke tool paths to enable productivity, fine features and ensuring build success.
In AM powders degrade, that’s why we are developing a powder relife capability. This groundbreaking development will allow us to clean used powders to relife and allow them to be used.
We are an early adopter of digital product passports. This legislative change is one we are embracing to enable new data to be generated, analysed and used to extend product life and showcase the impact our products have on the environment.
What we do and how
We leverage AI and other computing capabilities to develop new materials and predict the performance of our recycled materials through life service.
We use machine learning, data analytics, and modelling to create novel and optimised materials that suit your specific needs and applications. We use AI to monitor and predict the behaviour and degradation of our recycled materials, ensuring their safety and durability.
AMS work with various partners and collaborators across different sectors and industries to create economic and performance benefits through the optimised use of AM.
We have experience and expertise in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical, defence, and energy. We are also involved in pioneering projects such as recycling of aerospace parts for high value circular economy in advanced manufacturing.
Let's work together
At AMS, we envision a future where manufacturing is more sustainable, efficient, and innovative.
We harness the power of cutting-edge computational capabilities to create new materials and processes that lead the world in quality and performance.
We are passionate about finding solutions that benefit our customers, our partners, and our planet.
AMS is driving towards this future with our dedicated facility for the optimisation and development of powders, AM and validation testing.
We have atomisation capability, material development, part recycling, powder bed fusion with electron beam and laser powder bed processes and a dedicated test lab.
Let's work together
